This is the development site for the Faith Struggle Bus theme. This will give a live preview of what the site will look like. The theme has been built from scratch because we can’t seem to find one that works for Faith. This is the front page.

First, create a new page and title it “Blog.” Don’t add anything to it. Just type the title and hit “Publish.” This will create a blank page. That’s okay, that’s what we want.

Go to Settings > Reading > Your homepage displays and select “A static page.” For the “Homepage” option, select this page (which should appear as “Welcome to the struggle!” in the list), or whatever other page you want to set up as the homepage. Next, for the “Posts Page” option, select the “Blog” page you created earlier.

This page has been styled to float the image above to the left so that the text wraps around it. The image has a style called “front_page_image.” Should you chose to create a different static front page, or choose to replace the image, make sure you set it to that in the “Additional Class(es)” in the Advanced section of the Block Editor (the column on the right); otherwise, the image will not float.

If there is something you don’t like, or would like to change, feel free to go to the “Theme File Editor” under the Appearance options in the Admin page. Or, you can let me know what you want and I can take care of it for you.
